Although the ';Best Answer'; is good, I feel you really overlooked many great answers. The best way to keep your bathroom hygenic is to put the responsility onto your sons. When the burden is theirs, you will see that the bathroom stays and smells cleaner in no time.

I am a mother of 3 boys and it is hard to keep the bathroom clean, any advice?
Clorox wipes. Lots and lots of Clorox wipes. Keep 'em handy, right under the sink.
Set the rules mom....have antibacterial wipes kept in the bathroom all the time, and just demand that they clean up before exiting.Boys and Girls are NEVER too young to gain good hygene habits, and part of good hygene is sanitary surroundings. Make sure you set consiquences that you are willing and ready to follow threw with if they don't respect your rules. Just make sure you show them exactly what you expect them to do.
Anti bac wipes and make them clean up after they use it.
after you wee you wipe the loo bowl then bin and wash your hands - start now rep the rewards later -
depending on how old they are you could also rota them to clean it?
I may be female but the cleaning rota was what mum did with us - My aunt has 4 boys and does the wipe thing - unfortunatly nothing will cure the lack of aim....
If they are old enough to use the bathroom, then they should be helping keep it clean...that way they think twice before messing it up
Sorry.. no particular advice... I would require, though, that the boys LEARN to clean up after themselves and that would help tremendously.. that is, it would make YOUR workload less
In conjunction with their cleaning it themselves, put it on a rotation system. Put up a chart with each others names in a week to do it line.
Then see to it that person does a good job.
They will get tired of the mess a certain party leaves, and will police themselves.
A reward system should help..........................Best willing cleaner etc. Perhaps a movie ticket? Let them decide their reward from a list you prepare
Don't fret the small stuff!
wether they are 8 or 18, in time, you will miss the ';mess';
Count your blessings when you have them current!
Let them use the kitty litter box.
The cat won't be pleased but your bathroom will be spotless.
It is a good idea to make the boys clean the bathroom, but you know as well as I do you will have to redo it. At least they will get some of the ground work done for you.

Yes, teach them to pick up after themselves. Have each one take turns helping you clean the bathroom so that they see how much mess they make. If they drop towels or clothes on the floor make them stop what they are doing and clean up. If they are leaving a mess in the sink from toothpaste - same thing make them clean it up. If they are missing the bowl when they use the bathroom make them clean it up.

Perhaps have a rule that if the bathroom is not presentable, there is no desert. Get them to police eachother on it.
Yeah, have them clean it themselves. Also, instead of standing ove the toilet, have them sit!
make toilet rules and make sure they do it or no allowance.
If it is due to having pee all around the toilet try making them clean it. They will see how gross the job is and try to aim better. My oldest step son thought it was funny to pee all over the bathroom until he had to clean it.
