Will you please give me some advice on how to get a good job?!?
Unfortunately a felony conviction is often almost like a lifetime sentence of low wage work. maybe if you explain your situation to someone they will sincerely give you a break. Be upfront and try to be as open as you can about your past, while trying to demostrate that you have learned from your past mistakes. Unfortunately it seems like you will have to go above and beyond in the presentation of yourself than the average job interviewee. I stress apperance, appearance appearance and make sure that speak properly. No um's, like's, or anything of that sort. You already have 2 strikes against you. You cannot give them any reason to give you a third. The nature of it is that you are just going to be automatically eliminated from some career paths. You need to find which careers are realistically open to you and then make the steps to achieve your goals.

Honesty! I have a girl in my office who just told us she had done something stupid when she was young. She is a single mom and she went through a job training program that taught her some office skills, and then she worked through them to get a job.
She was open and honest from the beginning and we love her.
You will probably have to avoid anything where you are responsible for other peoples money or possessions until you prove yourself.
Get come training and develop skills that will help you.
Good luck!
Go to your local unemployment office, ask if they have any state sponsored job training programs that you can qualify for. it you get some training behind you, then you will have to just keep trying with employer after employer until some one takes a chance on you. Then stick with it for a good stretch of time before you move on to another job. Be honest with your employers, a background check will reveal a felony conviction and they can and in most cases will revoke an offer of employment for telling a lie.
It's not going to be easy at all, but somewhere out there you just might get lucky and find someone to';allow'; you to be ';trusted'; again. You are really gonna have to ';prove'; yourself not only to the employer but to yourself.
